About Shiloh (On Trial 2/11/14) ~ 1yo kelpie
Miss Shiloh is a beautiful 1 year old kelpie. She is stunning, black all over, with a tiny white patch on her chest. She has wonderful manners, and will sit and wait for her food. She is to train using treat rewards and thoroughly enjoys training and using her intelligent mind.
Shiloh is in foster care with three young children and loves them. She craves their attention and is very gentle. She sometimes jumps up to ask for cuddles, but is learning to sit for greetings instead. With a little more training she will be the perfect children's companion.
Shiloh is quite timid, cowering away when you first come into view. She loves nothing more than a cuddle though and will lick your face to show just how grateful she is for that love and attention!
Shiloh currently sleeps in our internal laundry, and uses a doggy door to toilet herself at night.
She would love a doggy playmate, but this is not essential for her forever home.
She has visited a home with turkeys, chickens, ducks and guinea fowl, and did not attempt to chase them while on her lead. She showed no interest in them, even when encouraged to walk next to them and around their pen.
Shiloh walks well on her lead, but does pull if she sees another dog or human that she wants to greet. She is young, joyful, and full of potential, just waiting for a person to love her and make her a part of their life.
If you are looking for a mature kelpie, Shiloh is your girl. The family lucky enough to meet her will no doubt fall in love with her straight away, as we have.
For more information or to meet Shiloh, please contact her foster carer Sarah on 0432-168-859 or email sarahhopps@hotmail.com. Shiloh is in foster care in Singleton, NSW (Hunter Valley, west of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Shiloh's adoption fee is only $400 and includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
