About Shorty (On Trial 31/10/14) ~ female, Beagle x
Meet Shorty, a 2 1/2 year old, female, Beagle x. She is incredibly obedient and polite. She loves affection and would be well suited for a family that would be able to spend a lot of time with her and include her in family activities, everything from lounging in front of the TV, to trips to the beach. She loves to play fetch and walks really well on a lead and loves to say hi to everyone along the way.
Shorty has been in care with other dogs, including much bigger dogs, and hasn't had a problem with them at all. She is not very good with cats but is learning quickly to just leave them alone.
Since being in care, Shorty has been incredibly patient with my three young girls. She loves to sit up and cuddle with them or play in the backyard. She follows them all around.
Shorty is both an inside and outside dog and loves to come inside to enjoy our company. She is house trained so is no trouble. She has been sleeping on the end of my eldest daughters bed of a night time but would also sleep elsewhere in the house.
Shorty is happy, healthy, low maintenance girl, who just wants love and affection and will return it to you a million times over.
For more information or to meet Shorty, please contact Donna by email trudgetty@hotmail.com or phone 0466 099 426. Shorty is in foster care in Medowie, NSW (Port Stephens) and is available for adoption interstate.
Shorty's adoption fee is only $400 and includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
