Hello, My name is Baxter.

I have been told I am very handsome with my stunning eyes!

I am very lucky to be alive today! A few months ago the gate in the home I was staying at was left open and I went for a wonder on the road. Unfortunately I came out second best when a bus hit me and kept going. I had several breaks and fractures in my hip and legs and required months of very expensive surgeries and intensive care. But lucky for me I ended up in good hands and all of my medical needs were met- I am now a happy and healthy boy again and love running around with my doggie friends like I used to.

I am around 2 years old and am a mixture of Husky, Kelpie and staffy. I have stunningly unique eyes and a great camouflage coat colour.

I am best suited to being an indoor and outdoor dog. I absolutely love being outside, relaxing, sitting in the sun or day dreaming looking out in the distance, but I LOVE to be pampered and part of the family indoors. I am very well behaved indoors, obedient and love my own snugly bed to sit on to enjoy my lazy time.

I would love to go to a home with another friendly dog to keep me company or one where I can be at home or at work with my humans during the day as I hate being left on my own... I just get so lonely :(

I have been getting along extremely well with my foster dog siblings and very tolerant of the household cats. I may look like a tough guy but am extremely gentle in all that I do, even with children!

I do like to talk and howl, (the husky in me) but it is usually for a reason, to be either toileted, to come inside for some indoor bed rest time or because I want to play with my foster siblings.

When outside my working dog and husky comes out and can be a bit determined to run, so a good run or walk in the morning and in the afternoon is what I need to be a well behaved dog, as well as some recall training, which will be very easy as I will become very attached and loyal to my humans.

I have fit in seamlessly into my foster home. I do and can walk well on a lead, but I have to be reminded and may need a little extra training.

I know I will make someone a very loyal, fun, affectionate and active pet.
