Bernard James BJ to his friends

Meet Bernard James, or as we fondly know him BJ.

Mr Cuddlebum to everyone else...as BJ seriously thinks he is a lap dog, will do just about anything to get onto the couch with you and then onto you for more cuddles.

He may be really big, but he just doesn't think so. He happily squeezes himself into the back seat of a small car to go on his car rides. Loves to chill with his paw mates on the same bed or couch and will even try and squeeze behind furniture too. He really is a character!

He is a very gentle, placid boy, who is well socialised with other dogs and suited to much older children, as BJ is totally unaware of his size.

Bernard James is not bad on lead, once he has settled down from his excitement of getting ready to go for walks, as he really, really loves his walks. He is very affectionate and is always up for a pat and will con a tummy rub whenever he can.

He is still learning "sit", he will stop on a walk to "wait" and will continue on "let's go". Obedience training is always a good idea and Bernard would benefit from firm gentle guidance, as this big pup has just realised what being loved is like.

He is almost fully house trained, the occasional accident if the door is not left open. Not suited to cats, as he just wants to play with them, all 50kgs of him...which the poor house cats find daunting.

If you need a loyal, loving companion dog, someone who will cuddle you, be there for you always and make you laugh with his antics, than this big baby is for you.
