Lucy ..... lucky little lady ........

This lovely old dog called Lucy, if she could talk, would have quite a tale to tell I’m sure. At the grand old age of 10 years she found herself at the Lost Dogs Home. We don’t know why, but she had eye infections, almost no hair, a mouth full of rotten teeth, a heart murmur and was severely underweight. The Lost Dogs Home did commence veterinary care on all these issues.
Her past life doesn’t matter anymore because on the 18th September, 2014 the Lost Dogs Home allowed her to go to Starting Over Dog Rescue. The following day she was collected by her foster carer(me) who has had her since then. Lucy is now ready to be adopted!
Lucy has flourished in foster care and is the most delightful, friendly ‘young’ lady. Her eye infections have cleared up, her hair is growing back and she loves her food, so has put on a lot of weight. She is spritely and loves going on a daily walk and currently is living with 2 other small dogs(who she doesn’t mind, except if they are in her personal space), 2 older children and 2 cats. Lucy I don’t think had seen a cat prior to my house and wouldn’t mind living with a friendly one. Lucy is fairly unique as she has 1 brown and 1 blue eye, making her even more lovable.
Lucy is now looking for her forever home but does have a couple of ongoing medical issues that will need monitoring. She has a heart murmur that has ¼ tablet administered daily. She also has dry eye but this again is easily treated with drops in the eyes daily.
Lucy would need to live in a quiet and peaceful home, so no small children please. She is a real sweetheart who just wants to be loved, have a soft and comfortable bed and plenty of good quality food.
