About Puppy Addison (On Trial 1/11/14)~ BC x Kelpie
Addison is a 10 week old, female, Border Collie x Kelpie puppy. She is a very clever and affectionate little puppy. She has been very well socialised with other dogs and puppies and gets along great with dogs of all different breeds, sizes and ages. Being so young, she could learn to live with cats.
Addison is too young to be left home alone all day so she needs a home with was someone that doesn't work full time, such as a stay at home mum, or someone who works from home or is retired. If everyone works full time then she will need another dog for company.
Addison needs to be allowed inside, at least when people are home, and to sleep inside. She loves to feel like a member of the family. She isn't suitable for kids under 8 years old as she might accidently knock them over. You must have 6ft high colourbond or other solid fencing. She cannot go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or any form of wire).
Addison is a very intelligent breed. She'll need to go to puppy training classes to engage her active mind and continue her training. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, daily exercise, and training. She's going to be a brilliant dog!
Addison is available for adoption to the following areas: Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens. She is not available for Interstate adoption. Addison's brother Kye is also available http://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/324008.
For more information or to meet Addison or Kye, please contact Robyn 02 4953 7115 (preferred) or 0468 435 587 (no email). Addison is in foster care in Glendale, NSW (Lake Macquarie, south of Newcastle).
Addison's adoption fee is only $450 and includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, and microchipping. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
