Meet Kya (D789) the 4 year old desexed female Staffy.

This sweet and affectionate young girl loves to be in the company of people, and especially likes pats and cuddles. She is an energetic girl who loves life and lives for time to play and go for walks. She loves to play and swim in water and shows this with her massive smile.

Kya is a solid and stocky girl that has been found to be great with other dogs in the pound and in foster care.

She will need some further training with walking on the lead due to pulling a bit and has a tendency to jump up when excited but with a consistent approach and correction this has improved dramatically.

Kya would suit a home that has the time to exercise and continue to socialise her. Due to her excitement jumping we feel she would not be suited to a family with small/infant children.

Kya's adoption cost is $200 which helps cover some of the cost of desexing, vacinations, microchipping flea and worm treatment. (It will also cover the costs of the remainder of the 2014-15 council registration if she continues to reside in the HRCC council area).

(Kya's foster carer reports that she is getting on wonderfully with her female dog (Smithfield x), is not phased by cats, not food protective in anyway, LOVES cuddles, and can follow basic commands. Kya's walking on a lead is improving and she loves spending time with people. It appears that Kya is not used to travelling in a car as she hid under the seat on her trip from the pound to her foster home. All in all a fantastic dog for the right match!)
