Hi there, my name is Leo and I am looking for love…. I am a young Great Dane x with bloodhound, this means my nose is constantly to the ground and I am always in search of food! I had a rough start to life but I am now starting to blossom in foster care. I am learning basic manners and not to inhale all my food at once. Since I have had a rocky past I thrive human affection more than anything enjoying all the love you have to give. I will need a patient owner who is willing to give me time to learn and grow with me and teach me how to refine my gentleman skills. I do prefer another dog as company but I am learning how to occupy myself when left home (need an owner who understands my brain and nose needs to stay stimulated with lots of toys/Kong/treats), as long as I have plenty of human contact time I would be fine as an only dog.
I am now excelling at my toilet training, mat training, crate training and basic obedience, I just need to learn to listen more and not get overly excited. I would be best suited to older children as I can accidently knock small children over in excitement. An owner who is home a bit and is willing to invest time into training would be preferred, I need a human to help me be the best version of me as I can, under all this floppy skin and ears is a really intelligent and charming character.
