Dusty

Hi my name is Dusty and I'm 2 yrs & 10 months old. I've been staying with Uncle Rocky and Auntie June. Rocky is a dog trainer and was teaching me the right way to behave but he isn't well at the moment so I've had to come back to Stafford Rescue. I was really enjoying living in their home and sat in the living room at night in my special chair and watched TV with them.

I have had a tough life up until SRV rescued me. I was owned by a young chap who didn't pay me any attention and just left me in the garden with a plant called Wandering Jew which made my skin really sore. Linda & Jan took me to a special vet to help me whose name is Dr Bruce Syme. He makes yummy products for dogs to eat which will help me look as good as new. He specialises in skin problems with dogs and cats. SRV also bought me medicines and other things from Dr Bruce to treat me from the inside out.

I'm like a puppy in an adult body but I have a really lovely nature. With Rocky's expert training I have learnt to be responsive to humans although I still pull on the lead. But everything takes time and I'm getting there.

I'm a very friendly boy with other dogs and people but I haven't met any cats so I better not go and live with one of those.
When I see children I get excited but I'm too boisterous for any little ones.
I need an owner that will be prepared to take me to dog obedience and someone who is either familiar with the Stafford breed or a good dog handler.
