Lucy is called Lady Lucy by her foster family because she’s a bit of a princess! She loves her comforts and always chooses the most comfortable bed to sleep on. Lucy is not a typical Kelpie in that she doesn’t have the high energy associated with the breed, and she loves being indoors but is also happy outside! She does love going for her daily walk and playing rough and tumble with her furry foster brother, but she balances that with a lot of sleeping and is happy just to lay near her family as they go about their day.

Lady Lucy is very good at entertaining herself and she can often be found throwing toys around and random objects found in the backyard and house. \ Since settling into family life after a history of being largely ignored, she is blossoming into a real character – she tries to communicate with little noises, and is showing that she has a very cheeky side.

She is very intelligent, though needs some training to learn basic commands like sit and stay.

She gets along great with other dogs and loves to play rough. She would prefer a home with another dog for company, or a family that is home a lot of the time so she doesn’t get lonely.
