About Bandit (On Trial 19/10/14)~ Papillon xMaltese xPom
Bandit is a real people dog. He is an 18 month old Papillion x Maltese x Pomeranian and looks adorable! He is white with brown patches and one ear is gorgeously up and the other is down. To see him is to love him. He loves cuddles and smooches and prefers to be hand fed at this time because he's rather timid. This should improve with time as he builds trust.
He likes to cuddle his foster fur brother now and will sleep with him on the big bed until we (an extra 5) all pile in during the night. Then he takes himself off to the spare lounge and sleep squished in the corner with his legs over his head!
Bandit has been brilliant with our children from ages 1 to 8 and is so very gentle. He is a little unused to loud noises and if the children have friends over who try to pick him up he does tend to slightly wet himself. He never bites though and settles straight away as soon as he sees his humans. He is nervous around other dogs but not aggressive at all, he just takes time to feel safe around new dogs.
Bandit will need to go to a quiet home without boisterous young children. If there are other dogs they need to be calm and gentle dogs.
Bandit does shed the tiniest amount but as an allergy sufferer I have found him to be quite fine. his long coat needs regular brushing (every few days depending on length), bathing (every few weeks) and possibly clipping (approximately every 4 months depending on if you prefer it short or long) to keep him comfortable and beautiful.
He is toilet trained and will sit and wait on command. He is such a gentleman he waits to be asked to enter or leave a room and is such a clever sweetheart that he will knock at the door if he wants to go out!
For more information or to meet Bandit, please contact his foster carer Nic on 0418 448 142 or email nicolehocroft@yahoo.com.au. Bandit is in foster care in Kotara, NSW (Newcastle).
Bandit's adoption fee is only $500 and includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
