About Jewel (On Trial 16/11/14)~ red cattle dog puppy
Jewel is a gorgeous 10 week old Cattle x puppy looking for her special family. She is a sweetheart and very smart cookie when it comes to learning new things. She loves playing with other dogs and also to have a power nap on your lap when she's feeling snuggly.
Jewel is a clever girl who already sits for her dinner and would excel with puppy training. She loves dogs of all sizes and is suitable for children; she is currently in foster care with two young children and is the gentlest girl. She does jump up occasionally and further training is required to remind her that good manners are expected. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life.
Jewel loves chew toys and enjoys playing with her foster siblings. She has an incredibly soft, short coat that is very low maintenance, a bath and the occasional brush will keep her looking beautiful.
Jewel will only grow to medium size. She will need a daily walk, training and toys to activate her intelligent mind.
Jewel needs to be allowed inside for some quality time with her family each day. She is too young to be outside all alone and needs to sleep inside. Jewel would love to find a furever home with another dog for company. But if she had plenty of exercise and was included in family activities, and had people company everyday she would be fine as an only dog.
For more information or to meet Jewel, please contact her foster carer Daisy Mae by email: daisy.mae1145@gmail.com or phone: 0421335860. Jewel is in foster care in Ellalong (near Cessnock) NSW, west of Newcastle.
Jewel's adoption fee is only $450 and includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, and microchipping. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Medical notes
Healthy young puppy. Her first 2 puppy vaccinations and desexing are included in her adoption fee.
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
