About Harpo *On Trial in His New Home*
*HARPO IS CURRENTLY TRIALING HIS NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES/APPLICATIONS PLEASE* How cute is Harpo???? He’s looking for a loving forever home after a rough start to life; will it be with you???
Lucky little Harpo was brought to SARG for rehousing after a kind citizen rescued this unwanted puppy from being shot. Safe and sound now this happy, friendly fella has settled in well into foster care where his foster carer has been showing him how great life can be! He’s eager to learn and has already picked up “sit” and is getting the hang of “stay”, he’s also learning “down” as being a young pup he does jump up a little when he’s excited. He has learnt how to walk on a lead and enjoys getting out and about. Adorable Harpo responds well to his new name and appears to have good recall coming to a whistle – he just loves to please his humans! \ He is cuddly and affectionate without being in your face or licky and he enjoys being close to you when he’s inside watching tv at night. By day you can find him outside playing with his toys or lying around soaking up the spring sunshine. \ As Harpo is a Staffy x Heeler he can be a tad stubborn at times although he’ll make a very loyal and loving best friend when he grows up.
Adventurous Harpo travels well in a car and he’s just come back from a holiday in South Australia where he got to experience the beach and totally loved it! He’s great with other dogs just wanting to play and he isn’t too fazed by cats. Harpo has quickly picked up housetraining letting his foster carer know when he needs to go outside and he’s been sleeping inside at night. He would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a doggie companion to learn from or on his own but only if he won’t be left alone for long periods of time while his humans are at work as he’s used to having company.
Daily walks, secure fencing, bones to chew on and toys to keep Harpo stimulated are also a necessity so he doesn’t get bored and up to mischief!
If you think you’ve got the time, patience and love to continue bringing up loveable Harpo then please download and complete a SARG Dog Application form by following this link: http://www.sarg.net.au/adopt-a-pet.html

Harpo is desexed, microchipped, C5 vaccinated and wormed.

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
