About Sooty (On Trial 7/11/14) ~ Bc x Kelpie puppy
Sooty is a beautiful, male, 9 week old, Border Collie x Kelpie puppy. He loves cuddles and will follow you everywhere as he doesn't like being alone. He loves to play outside in the yard but is an inside dog and must be allowed inside to be part of the family and sleep inside.
Sooty is a very smart little boy and is already learning basic commands and toilet training. Of course being so young his training will need to be continued. All puppies benefit greatly by going to puppy classes.
Sooty loves to play and would need another friendly little dog to play with or someone who is home most of the time as he is too young to spend long hours home all alone.
Sooty has a lovely soft coat which is very low maintenance and a bath and occasional brush will keep him looking beautiful. Being such a young puppy he loves to chew things with his sharp baby teeth so will need toys to play with. Of course shoes are wonderful toys as are the toes that are in them which makes him unsuitable for very small children.
Sooty's sisters Cookie http://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/322441 and Sadie http://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/322450 are also available for adoption. You can meet them all at the same time.
For more information or to meet Sooty, Cookie or Sadie please contact foster carer Debbie on 0408 825 714. Sooty is in foster care in near Maitland, NSW (west of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Sooty's adoption fee is only $450 and includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, and microchipping. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
