About Cookie (On Trial 17/10-14)~ Border Collie x Kelpie
Cookie is a beautiful, female, 9 week old Border Collie x Kelpie puppy. Cookie is a very smart little girl who is already learning her basic commands and house training. Of course being so young her training will need to be continued, and all puppies benefit greatly by going to puppy classes.
Cookie loves to play and would need another friendly little dog to play or someone who is home most of the time as she is too young to spend long hours home all alone. She is very friendly and loves cuddles and will follow you everywhere you go as she doesn't like to be alone. She loves to have a play in the yard but she is an inside dog and must be allowed in the house to be part of the family. She needs to sleep inside.
Cookie has a lovely soft coat that may need grooming in the summer months and a brush to keep her looking so beautiful.
Being such a young puppy she does chew so needs toys to play with and shoes are a very tempting toy for her as well as the toes that are in them which makes her unsuitable for very young children.
Cookie's sister Sadie and brother Sooty are also available for adoption. You can meet them all at the same time.
For more information or to meet Cookie, Sooky or Sooty please contact foster carer Debbie on 0408 825 714. Cookie is in foster care in near Maitland, NSW (west of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Cookie's adoption fee is only $450 and includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, and microchipping. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
