About Jack (Hero. Adopted by carer 10/10/14)
Jack is a 6 year old, Jack Russell Terrier with a beautiful nature. He loves the beach and having a bath. He is perfect in the car and obeys the "sit", "stay" and "no" commands. He is house trained and will use a doggy door with no problem at all. He enjoys his daily walk and behaves extremely well on the leash.
He's not insistent on sitting on your lap and is more than happy to sleep on a cushion on the lounge while you're watching TV. He would like a human bed to sleep on to start with but you won't even know he's there.
During the day Jack is content to sleep outside if there's a soft spot in the sun for him to bask. He doesn't dig or jump fences. He loves to chase lizards and the vacuum cleaner.
Jack is a very happy, confident and relaxed man. Like many dogs, he is scared of thunder and lightning. He has only known one home prior to being fostered.
He gets along extremely well with female dogs. He is an active dog that loves to play with one of my dogs. As you can see, he is a very handsome boy with a short, easy-care coat.
Jack would be most suited to a family or active older people with no other furry species such as cats or guinea pigs. He is not suitable to home with other male dogs either, but is fine with girl dogs.
Jack is a gorgeous, well mannered, responsive and easily trained young man looking for his forever home. Could it be yours?
For more information or to meet Jack, please contact his foster carer Nola on 0408446730. Jack is in foster care near Charlestown, NSW (Lake Macquarie, south of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Jack's adoption fee is only $300 and includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
