About Dash
Dash is a delightful, fun little dog. He is intelligent, eager to please and very friendly. Dash came to us via our friends at the RSPCA. He had a tail injury that required amputation, and now has the cutest little bob tail! He dances around on his toes with joy, and loves people so much. He loves to be inside with a family, as well as having a yard to play in and sunbake in.
Dash loves children, actually he just loves people full stop. The best home for Dash would be one that will keep his mind active and give him lots of time and play. Dash will do anything you ask him to, so a family that will train him and give him a fun life is an absolute must! Dash would be an amazing agility or dog sports dog! He weighs only 12kg but has the intelligence of the collie! Dash can already do lots of little tricks like shaking hands! He is eager to learn more!
Dash was originally transferred from the RSPCA to a working dog rescue, however it became apparent quickly that he was a bit small to keep up with all the cattle dogs and kelpies. So they asked us to take him on as we have small-dog foster carers. However, Dash certainly has the intelligence of a working dog, he is very smart and alert so we're looking for a family that will make the most of this.
We think Dash has had a very scary experience whilst on a lead - he is social and friendly all the time but when he meets new dogs whilst he is on a lead, he becomes very afraid. We've been working on this fear, taking him on lots of loose leash walks and introducing him to friendly dogs who won't hurt him. Once he has met a new dog, he is their best mate and loves to play, but he needs a bit of love and reassurance when meeting new canine friends.

Dash is a healthy, desexed, vaccinated and microchipped little dog. He weighs 12kg, so is one of our bigger dogs in care. He has been vet checked and fed on a high quality premium Royal Canin food whilst in our care. Dash is up to date with flea and parasite prevention.
