About Teddy (On Trial 11/10/14 ~ Poodle x Japanese Spitz
Hi my name is “Teddy”. My name so suits me because I'm a Teddy Bear. I am a 7 year old, 13kg Japanese Spitz X Poodle – you would say I am a medium dog but my big furry coat makes me look bigger. My new foster mum has been calling me "BIG T BEAR", because she says I am soft, cuddly and have big furry paws like a bear.
Even though I am seven I have the energy of a puppy. I need at least 2 walks a day to keep me peaceful and happy. My favorite part of the day is my big walks in the park or just around town and I am the best dog ever on my lead. I am also perfect in the car and as soon as I know I am going in the car to the park I am straight in that back seat like a perfect boy.
I am an inside dog as I use the doggy door. I really don’t like being outside by myself, I just want to be with people. My fluffy teddy bear coat does not shed at all (yay) so I need a quick daily brush, a bath every 3 weeks and grooming every 6 to 8 weeks.
I love to play fetch with my ball but only with humans I do not like sharing my balls and toys with the other dogs I am living with. I would prefer a home with no other dogs and definitely no cats, and I do not like those cat things at all! I do not care too much for small children, teenagers are fine but little kids? No thanks. I would be suited to someone who is home most of the time as I like human company and am used to being with humans all day.
So if you want a friendly, energetic, lovable, trustworthy mate to share your home with I am your "BIG T BEAR". I might sound high maintenance but I am worth it. If you want to look after me as I need you to, I will give all the love back to you in so many ways!
I am in foster care in Valentine, NSW, Lake Macquarie please call Carolyn 0404 874 136 or email Carolyn@tradeserv.com.au for more information or to meet me.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
