About Hans ~ On Trial 5/1/15
Hans is a delightful Border Collie x Kelpie male who is under 12 months old. What a great dog Hans is, he’s fantastic with other dogs, and kids. He can sit and shake hands and walks really well on a lead. He will make his new family very happy.
Hans has very long legs and is quite tall but only weighs 20 kilos. He has great energy but knows when to have a rest. He is not destructive and can be left with toys and other things that are still intact next morning. \ He likes to collect them and take on his bed for safe keeping. Hans hasn't met a cat so I don’t know what his reaction would be.
Hans would love an active or not so active playmate as he’s good with young and older dogs. He currently has a Jack Russell as his play mate who keeps him in line. Hans needs regular fencing but will not suit farm fencing as he can just get over 4 foot fencing if you are on the other side and he decides you need him.
He has his whole life ahead of him after ending up as a stray in a pound, it’s all up from here for Hans.
Hans is happy to sleep outside under cover with a comfy bed but I’m sure he can be enticed inside if that is where you would like him, He’s happy as long as he’s near his family. Make no mistake, this Prince Hans WILL provide true love to his family :)

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
