About Rosie (On Trial 5/11/14)~ bc x cattle dog
Rosie is a calm, sweet, 2 year old cattle dog x border collie. Being a mix of working breeds she is smart and active. She loves her walks especially when she gets to run and chase the birds and play with other dogs. She will need a family who will guarantee her at least one walk a day and a game of ball to keep her stimulated both mentally and physically. Once she has had her exercise she happily settles down on the floor or, better still, on the lounge. She is not one to snuggle up to you but loves to be around so will need to be allowed inside whenever you are home. Rosie has always slept inside and she tends to bark at strange noises at night so this works best for a good night sleep for everyone.
Rosie is currently living with a dog her size and they love to romp and play together. She is friendly when meeting dogs on her walk and walks well on a lead. She loves to follow you around the yard chasing bugs and is always ready to play fetch. She knows all the basic commands and will shake hands too.
The perfect home for Rosie would be with an active family with children over 10 who would play ball and take her for walks. Having another active dog for company would be a bonus.
Rosie is a joy to have around, she is only young but very calm and settled so long as she gets her exercise and is allowed to be a part of the family.
For more information or to meet Rosie, please contact her foster carer Kathryn on 0414 449 740 or email Kathryn.david.15@gmail.com. Rosie is in foster care in Kotara, NSW (Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Rosie's adoption fee is only $400 and includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
