About Layla
Meet Layla.
Layla is a small-medium Shar Pei that has a lot of love to give.
This amazing young lady is very affectionate and has a beautiful nature. She is great with other dogs, cats and children (adult supervision is always required though) .
Layla really doesn't have a mean bone in her body! She is really gentle with kids and loves being around people. She would suit a home with another friendly dog or with someone that is home a lot.
When Layla came into our care she was suffering from an itchy skin condition that was left untreated. Her skin is now much better and her coat is becoming healthier now that she is on a premium adult dog food which we recommend continues in her new home.
Like all Shar Pei dogs Layla does drool a little so her new owners would need to be OK with this. It really isn't a big deal and she does drool less than many other Shar Pei's that have been in our care before.
Layla has only basic obedience training however her breed excel at obedience work and delight in pleasing their owners, which makes them a pleasure to train. Ongoing obedience training is recommended in her new home. She LOVES her daily walks and walks well on her harness.
Layla is house trained and used to sleeping indoors. Layla comes desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and has had eye surgery performed.
Can you give this very affectionate canine a loving forever home?
(Please see Layla's medical notes below.)
Medical notes
Like many Shar Pei's Layla was suffering from a terrible skin condition, severely infected ears and needed surgery on her eyes to remove some extra skin and improve her vision. She has since had her eye surgery and her skin and is 90% better and on it's way to clearing up completely.
Her ear infection is all gone now but due to this breed being candidates for ear infections a gentle ear cleaning (which is very easy to do) is recommended to be done weekly in her new home.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
