About Roxy~On Trial 15/10/14 ~ Papillion x Pom x Maltese
Roxy is a 3 year old Papillion x Pomeranian x Maltese. She is a very pretty girl with a wonderful silky creamy caramel coat that requires brushing every couple of days . She is slightly cross eyed which gives her a quirky look which absolutely matches her personality. She likes nothing better than sitting on the lounge with you while you watch TV and gives a nudge with her nose for a cuddle or belly rub.
She is very social and has slotted into this household the very first day she arrived - I have 2 small terriers - who originally didn't want anything to do with a strange dog entering their territory -and it only took her a couple of days for her to win them over, especially my Jack Russell who is 5 y.o.
Roxy is housetrained and has access to the back yard at all times and spends her days sunning herself or following everyone around. She has a cuddly toy she carries around. She takes herself outside for toileting during the night . She walks well on a lead and enjoys her walks with the other dogs. She comes when you call her and doesn't attempt to jump fences or get out of the yard. She enjoys riding in the car and sits on the back seat attached to the seatbelt.
Roxy is an inside dog and needs to be allowed inside, at least when people are home, and to sleep inside. She loves to sleep on my bed if allowed. She has a gentle and loving nature and would be best suited to a household with another small dog for company or as an only dog if you are home most of the time as she loves company.
For more information or to meet Roxy, please contact her foster carer Louise on 02 4969 1441 or 0418 617 671. Roxy is in foster care in Newcastle, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Roxy's adoption fee is only $450 and includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
