About Matai ~ Rehomed 27/10/14
Matai is a cheeky 12 week old, male Chihuahua x Pomeranian x Staffy puppy. \ Matai is Mr Personality Plus and his favourite game is hide-and-go-seek with your socks just before you go out. Matai is taller than his brothers and sisters who were typical Chihauhau in size. He loves to hog all the sleeping space – he is very fond of men and snores as loudly as his foster dad!
Matai is in foster care with 2 other adult dogs and he gets on well with everyone. \ He’s great with children so he would suit families with kids.
Matai would best suit a furever home with another friendly playful dog or someone who is home a lot if there is no other dog to play with. Matai is very social and too young to be left alone for long periods of time. He is new to toilet training so his new family will need to continue his training as he grows. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
Matai is an inside dog and needs to be allowed inside when his family is home – he must sleep inside at night even when older. Dogs and puppies enjoy being part of the family and get comfort from being inside with their humans.
For more information or to meet Matai, please contact Jo on 0427 695 104 or Jo.payne.aus@hotmail.com. Matai is in foster care near Gosford, NSW (Central Coast) and is not available for adoption interstate.
Matai's adoption fee is $450 and includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, and microchipping. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
