About Lotus ~ Rehomed 2/11/14
Lotus is a quirky 12 week old, female Foxie x Cattle dog puppy. If you love character then Lotus is the girl for you - she loves to keep you entertained by pouncing on the toys you throw her and trotting around the house with them. \ Lotus will tire herself out playing and try very hard to keep her eyes open but has been known to fall asleep sitting up just so she doesn't miss out. Lotus is a modern girl and takes a great selfie - who wouldn't when you're this pretty?
Lotus is in foster care with another friendly dog who she adores, and 2 adult cats that she's well-mannered with. Lotus knows that the cats are boss of the house and will walk away when put in her place. She loves other dogs of any age or size - she is in foster carer with 4 other dogs and she loves them all.
Lotus loves to travel in the car, and she's very friendly when meeting new people. \ She's just learning to walk on a lead so she loves to explore her surroundings.
Lotus would best suit a furever home with another friendly playful dog or someone who is home a lot if there is no other dog to play with. Lotus is very social and too young to be left alone for long periods of time. She is new to toilet training so her new family will need to continue her training as she grows. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
Lotus is an inside dog and needs to be allowed inside when her family is home – she must sleep inside at night even when older. Dogs and puppies enjoy being part of the family and get comfort from being inside with their humans.
For more information or to meet Lotus, please contact Jo on 0427 695 104 or email jo.payne.aus@hotmail.com. Lotus is in foster care in Gosford, NSW (Central Coast) and is not available for adoption interstate.
Lotus's adoption fee is $450 and includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, and microchipping. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
