About Marley
Hey, I’m Marley....I’m a Jack Russell x and have just turned 3 in May. I’m a fairly active boy who loves to run and play chasings with my other 4 legged foster siblings. My favourite game is tug-o-war and will play this for agessss. You will need to keep my mind stimulated as I am rather clever (or so I’ve been told) and will get bored if I have nothing to keep me busy.
I have grown up around children and will love them and play with them and give them lots of hugs. Although I am very active, I do love to snuggle and always up for a hug, kiss or pat. Before I came into Wallys care, I was an only dog who was never allowed inside, but now, I have been allowed both inside and outside, have other 4 legged friends to play with and humans that show me affection. The only problem is, it’s not MY home.
So, if your looking for A) An active dog that will keep you motivated in getting and staying fit and/or B) An active furry friend who you would like to get a playmate for, a secure yard for me to run and play, and a loving home with or without kids, I might just be your reason to ADOPT.
I love to go to the beach where I can have some off lead time chasing a tennis ball, or just meeting new friends and because I know my name so well, will come back when you call me. I’m not at all fussy with my food and will eat whatever is on the menu....can I just mention though, that I have tried a raw diet, and loveeee it!
If you feel that I might fit into your family and lifestyle, please, please, please contact Vanessa to arrange a meet and greet.
Wally's like all of our rescues to be adopted into families that will continue their socialisation and allow their dogs inside of the home on a regular basis to ensure that they feel part of the family. This is particularly so if they are to be an only dog.
Marley is located on the Central Coast of NSW where he lives with his foster family.
Medical notes
Marley was noticed to be limping on his back leg every so often once in our care. A vet visit helped us learn he had a luxating patella, which even though it wasn't causing him much pain, would be better to have fixed through surgery. This surgery was completed on the 10th October and has a 6 week recovery period. He is doing extremely well, and is running around like any other dog, although at times he is careful with it but is expected to make a full recovery. This surgery will not affect his ability to do anything, but will ensure he has a better quality of life.
Adoption details
Please contact Vanessa via email only should you wish to meet Marley. Email will ensure a faster response. If enquiring about Marley, please give us some indication of the type of home that he would have with you.
We are interested in things such as other animals (past and present), children who may have contact with the dog, whether you own or rent your home, what opportunities for socialisation outside the home your dog would have, how much you/someone is home and most importantly, why you feel this dog/pup may be suitable for you.
Wally's Dog Rescue put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our dogs/pups are sociable and made to feel part of the family, so in considering adoptions, these are the type of things we will be looking for in a new family.
