About Tilly
Tilly is looking for a palliative care home. Although she is sick, she is still living a happy life and we want her to have a home who will love her until the end. Tilly could potentially live for several years, so we are looking for a beautiful, loving home for her.
Tilly came to us from the Animal Welfare League. She had complications after being desexed, and had a blood transfusion. She also had many blood tests that revealed she is suffering from chronic leukemia.
Although she is sick, Tilly has no idea of this! She is sweet, happy and very active. She loves to be in your arms and loves to cuddle. She plays constantly and will leap all over the house throwing toys around and having a great time. She is so sweet. Tilly loves other dogs and loves every person she meets.
Tilly deserves to be loved and we hope to find her a beautiful home to love her for the rest of her life.
Medical notes
We hold great hope for Tilly, due to her happiness and the way she still enjoys life. She is in no pain. We have begun to treat Tilly's leaukemia with chemo, given via oral tablets. She is also on steroids, and is in the care of Dr Nicole Wong from Moorooka Vet clinic. We will provide ongoing support and care to the family who adopt Tilly.
She is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and treated regularly with parasite prevention.

Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, please email chihuahuarescueqld@gmail.com for an Adoption Application. From there, we will be in contact with you within 48 hours to talk further about your application and if successful, to arrange a meet and greet.
Prior to adoption, all dogs will need to have a meet and greet with their family, and a house check will be done. All adoptions are subject to a two week trial to ensure your new friend fits in well with your household.
We have many dogs that are in foster care and are not yet ready to be listed for a variety of reasons. If you have a good idea of what you are looking for in your new dog please email us at chihuahuarescueqld@gmail.com and let us help you match a dog to your needs.
