About Strike
Hi, my name is Strike and I am a highly active 4 year old ball of energy. I haven't had anything to do with dogs but grew up with a cat whom I slept with, played with and the cat even play attacked me while I was sleeping and I just took it in my stride. We were good pals.
Another cat took over my kennel and I barked at it trying to make it move on but I guess you are not surprised to know that the cat totally ignored my requests.
I also grew up with children and enjoyed playing with them including jumping on the trampoline with them. I also love a good game of tug.
I went to puppy school and learnt to sit, shake and will also sit at roads on demand. I can get very excitable and a lot of this is no doubt due to being alone for 20 hours a day, so when I see people I get very hyper at having company at last.
I need to be taken to dog obedience training to teach me to listen more to you. It would also give me some valuable socialisation with other dogs that I have missed out on. I am good walking on the lead but need lots more exercise to address all that high energy.
I love my humans and am a bit of a sook and sleep with my blankie which I move to the sun in the mornings for a nap.
I would suit a single dog home with an active family who are prepared to take me to obedience classes and make time for a dog who has missed out on being part of the family. I have a lot of cuddles to catch up on.

and fill out the Adoption Request Form. You will receive an email acknowledgement within 3 days. If you do not receive any further contact after this please do not be discouraged. It just means that a suitable application was received before yours. We encourage you to contact Jan: jan.hutton@optusnet.com.au every 2-3 weeks to show you are still interested in adopting. As we will already have your form on file it will fast track the process when a suitable dog does become available.
Adopt one of our dogs and we are there for you for the rest of the dog's life. If you find you and the dog are not suited it is a condition of sale that the dog comes back to Stafford Rescue.
