About Daisy (On Trial 22/12/14) ~ Scottish Terrier x
Say hello to our wee bonny lass DAISY. Daisy is a 1yo Scottish Terrier/Staffy cross. As you can see from her photos, Daisy is perfect around kids, in fact I think she prefers them to adults. She loves cuddles, tummy rubs and general play with our 5 year old daughter. She is housetrained and is currently sleeping inside in a room by herself.
Daisy loves being around other dogs. She has not met a cat yet so her temperament around them is unknown. She is happy to chase a ball but doesn't bring it back as yet, she loves a run around though.
Daisy knows how to sit and is learning other skills by example from our other foster dog. She is just learning her name, but comes when you call her. She was rescued from a pound. She is short but stocky.
Daisy loves to eat, and can take over her foster sister's food if we do not watch her. She is also a chunky little lady which helps when you want to boss your foster sister around. She also loves to give the humans in her house big licks.
She only barks when she is protecting her turf and if left home alone all day. She needs a home with a retiree or part time worker. She's very friendly and would love to live in a house with other dogs, kids and interesting things to do every day.
For more information or to meet Daisy, please contact her foster carer Edwina on 02 4041 0000 or email edwina_h@hotmail.com. Daisy is in foster care in Merewether, NSW (Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Daisy's adoption fee is only $400 and includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
