About Scout ~ Rehomed 10/10/14
Scout is a gorgeous 8 week old, male Labrador x Bull Arab puppy. Scout has a gorgeous black coat with a white racing stripe down his nose, white chest and white paws. When Scout gazes at you with his soulful hound-dog eyes you can't help but melt inside. He is very friendly and confident and his tail wags all the time.
Scout is a bit of a lady's man - he's a smoochy boy who loves nothing more than to cuddle on top of you. He trots around the house after you, interested in everything that you do. Scout is in foster care with his brother Boo Radley and 3 other dogs big and small, young and old and he loves all of them. Scout is in foster care with 6 cats and socializes well with them. \
Scout loves snuggling with the other dogs at night and during the day. Once settled into his surroundings he sleeps well through the night. He absolutely loves toys - especially soft toys which he and his brother Boo Radley play tug of war with. He is good at meal times and he and Boo Radley will happily eat out of the same bowl with no squabbles.
Scout is too little for walks yet, but it's easy to see that he'll love them when older as he will trot along next to you in the yard. He's very clever and treat focused so will respond well to consistent training as he grows. Scout is only new to toilet training, his new family will need to be considerate and continue his toilet training.
Scout would best suit a furever home with another friendly playful dog of any size or someone who is home a lot if there is no other dog to play with. Scout is very social and will cry without human or canine companionship. Scout is child friendly so he would also suit a family with slightly older kids. Being the runt of his litter, he is smaller and slimmer than his litter mates - although he will most likely be still be large when full grown. Scout has a very short coat and is slender so he needs a jacket to keep him warm during winter. Scout must be allowed inside with his family and must sleep inside at night even when older.
For more information or to meet Scout, please contact his foster carer Jo on 0427 695 104 or email jo.payne.aus@hotmail.com. Scout is in foster care in Gosford, NSW (Central Coast) and is not available for adoption interstate.
Scout's adoption fee is $450 and includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments and microchipping. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
