About Mia (On Trial 5/10/14) ~ Tibetan Spaniel
Mia is a very cute and lovable Tibetan Spaniel approximately 3 years old. She has a beautiful long soft coat which sheds very little. She is very alert, curious and is always exploring.
Mia loves company and would suit a family or retired couple where someone is home the majority of the time. She is very friendly with children, but would be better suited to children over 8. She loves to give kisses.
She is making progress with toilet training with very few accidents. Mia needs more training and focus with walks. Mia is fine with other dogs , in fact she is much better behaved when with other dogs. She is very possessive of her human when on her own. She must be in a cat free home as she loves them too much lol. She is fine with men there are two men in our house and we have no problems.
Mia enjoys her food. She has a variety of food, wet, dry, raw and cooked meat, rice and raw vegs. The bowl is always clean. Besides treats she loves chicken necks.
Mia plays happily with outside toys and delights in finding hiding places for any treats. She may shift them several times, which is amusing to watch. She loves playing inside with squeaky soft toys, which she throws into the air and then chases. She loves cuddles and is a real “lapdog”. She sleeps in her own bed at night. Her best trick is standing straight up on her back legs and begging.
Mia is a beautiful, loving girl who would enjoy going to a home where she is given love and security. In return she would give joy.
For more information or to meet Mia, please send an email to her foster carer Victoria on vdavies93@gmail.com. Mia is in foster care in Kurri Kurri, NSW (west of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Mia's adoption fee is only $450 and includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
