About Maverick ~ kelpie (On Trial 30/9/14)
Hi my name is Maverick. I'm a 9 month old, male Kelpie X looking for my forever home. I like big hugs, playing and long walks. I'm very obedient and sit very patiently while waiting for my dinner. I'm very fast when going to fetch the ball for you, (although sometimes I don't like bringing it back). I love all humans and other dogs. (I would prefer to be with older children as I can still be a bit boisterous when playing and sometimes don't know my own strength.)
I would love a family that would enjoy training me because I learn really quickly, and just love being taught new and exciting things. I am always eager to please.
I love bones, toys, going for walks and being with people and dogs. I am house trained and enjoy spending time inside with my people.
So if you like big hugs whilst watching your favourite movie, playing with a cute four legged friend and long walks on the beach, then we should meet! I could be the perfect companion for you and your family.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
