About Marlene
Marlene is a stunning dog to look at with her black patches and sweet expression.
Located in Seven Hills, Western Sydney. Marlene is currently around knee height at 30 kilos.
Marlene is a Heinz variety and is likely to be a medium-large dog in our opinion given her current size and growth so far.
She's an exceptionally sweet dog who still has the puppy mentality of needing to have a body part or half her body on you when she's chilling out on the couch with you.
Currently living with a Great Dane and Lab x, she is confident in play and loves her toys.
She is looking for someone who has another dog to hang with who gives her the feeling of security. The companion dog must be a dog who will want to play with a young dog.
She has been in foster care with a Cat before and should be fine as long as it is a Cat who stands its ground.
Her past history has said she isn't suitable with free range chickens and due to her puppy nature would be more suitable to older children who she wouldn't knock over.
Her physical structure is very sound and therefore she would make a good walking/jogging partner and would excel in sports such as agility/flyball where good physical structure is needed.
Marlene has been assessed by our Behaviourist who has noted that due to her lack of early socialisation as a young puppy she can be shy with new people.
She can react out of uncertainty/fear to new things/things that worry her i.e. she may bark at a noise that she is unfamiliar with.
With dogs that show negative behaviours to her on walks i.e.bark at her/try and attack her she can have the initial reaction to react back however we have been raising her confidence with this via food and she has been doing great.
She's a lovely puppy who has lot's of potential, she just needs someone prepared to put in some time to help her be the best she can be.
Marlene will be able on a 2 week trial to a screened family, that family must have another dog for her to play with of a suitable size, be 100% ok to continue toilet training and general basic obedience and work her through some of her insecurities.
Don't like dogs inside with you or on your furniture? Then Marlene is not for you. \ If your natural response is not that a dog is an inside family member when you are home then Marl's isn't right for you and that's not to say you don't have a great home but Marlene needs a specific home. If you lie to us about what environment you will put her in then you'll bear the brunt of the problems that will arise because of that and that isn't fair to Marlene.
