About Jewell (On Trial 23/9/14) ~ Kelpie Puppy
Here’s Jewell, 9 week old Kelpie puppy, pretty as a picture with her black and tan kelpie markings and little white feet as if she’s wearing shoes. Jewell is a very active girl, loves playing with her siblings, and chasing after her toys. She is expected to grow to a medium-sized dog.
Jewell needs to be allowed inside, at least when people are home, and to sleep inside, at least until she is fully grown. She'll need plenty of exercise when she grows up as well as playtime and other interaction with her family. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life.
Jewell will need 6ft fences (not rural fencing such as mesh or wire). It'd be great if there was someone that doesn't work full time, such as a stay at home mum, or someone who works from home or is retired. If everyone works full time then your puppy will need another dog for company.
Jewell's brothers Dakota and Harley and sister Winnie are also available for adoption.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
