About Dexter
Meet GAR #500, Dexter!
Dexter is a super cute, very affectionate, cheeky & playful pup. He has a beautiful gentle nature and has plenty of energy to burn. Our sweet little Dex had broken his back left foot when he was younger which has healed but left him with some scaring and a permanent limp, it doesn't seem to trouble him much but his limp is more prominent on the colder days. This has certainly not slowed this energetic little guy down though, haha! Dexter is great with children & cats although he does like to chase his foster brother Billy (cat) around the house. Dexter is also great with other dogs, currently living with foster sister Bonnie (2yr Boxer) they have become great friends and play all day long, when it comes to dinner time though it is best if he is fed alone as he can become jealous. Dexter's obedience is a work in progress at the moment, he gets very anxious when you are not around so you need to be sure there are plenty of toys around for him to chew on and keep him occupied, this being said he has proven to be a fast learner with his foster parents having him house trained in under 24 hours. To wrap things up Dexter is an absolutely beautiful boy who needs someone with the time to continue his training and who will give him just as much love and loyalty as he will give you!
