About Zoe (On Trial 10/10/14) ~ Boxer x Staffy
Zoe is a very pretty, 2 year old, Boxer x Staffy. She is a nice, calm dog and already has good basic training. She will sit, lay down, and shake hands when asked, and sits to wait for her dinner bowl to be put down. She walks nicely on lead, comes when called, and is good in the car. She rarely barks, doesn't dig holes, and doesn't try to jump the fence. What more can you ask of a dog?!
Zoe loves to play with soft toys and balls. She can be playful once she gets started but isn't hyperactive. She is very sweet and loves being with people. She isn't pushy and doesn't jump all over you. She enjoys being brushed and having her belly rubbed. She's a very pretty girl with her light tan brindle stripes. She loves going for a walk or trip in the car.
Zoe is currently an only dog but we introduced her to a small Staffy at the park and she sniffed him politely and probably would have liked to play if they weren't both on leads. I think she would be fine with living with another friendly dog roughly her own size. She wouldn't be suited to living with cats though.
Zoe is friendly with children and would great with older children (she is living with a young teen) but she's not suited to children under 10 because she might accidently knock them over.
Zoe is staying outside right now because her foster carer is allergic to dogs, so we don't know if Zoe is housetrained or not. If she isn't, I'm sure she would pick it up very quickly as she is very smart and eager to please. Zoe needs to have some time inside with her new family when she gets adopted as it's pretty lonely being an outside dog.
Zoe is a lovely natured girl who adores people and just wants a family to love and to feel loved in return.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
