About Bella (On Trial 25/10/14) ~German Shorthaired Pntr
Bella is an 8 year old Weimarana or German Shorthaired Pointer cross (it’s a bit hard to be sure exactly which). She has a lovely nature, and she leaves you thinking that she is very wise; as though she’s been there and done that, and knows exactly what is coming next. You’ll find her observing you, watching what you’re doing, and you just know she’s got an opinion about it, but she keeps it to herself. Nothing much bothers or distresses her.
Bella is a big momma, weighing in at around 30 kilos. She has a massive chest, but that’s all the better for cuddling (she’s a very affectionate girl). Her very favourite thing is to go for a ride in the car with you. She sits up straight, watching out the window as you drive along, looking left, looking right, and when you arrive home she doesn’t want to leave the car in the hope that you might decide to turn round and go out again.
Bella also loves to go for a walk on the lead. She is a very strong dog, but she walks quite well beside you and isn’t too difficult to walk.
Bella gets on well with other dogs of any size, but she pretty much keeps to herself. She likes to spend the day outside in the sun, watching the world go by, but she is used to being with her family at night and to sleeping inside.
If you would like to know more about Bella please phone her foster-carer Lynda, 02 4987 1213 after 7pm Monday to Wednesday, or any time on other days. You can also text 0401 264 514. Bella is in the Raymond Terrace area, and only 10-15 minutes from the end of the M1.
Bella's adoption fee is only $200 and includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
