About Charlie Girl ~ Tenterfield (On Trial 20/10/14)
Charlie is a tiny, female, Tenterfield Terrier, 3 years old. She's a very active, small dog, with a very bubbly personality. She loves chasing a ball, playing with toys, running, and playing with other small dogs. Girls just want to have fun.
When it's cold I put little coats on her to keep her warm. She enjoys the attention of getting dressed up. She also enjoy getting cuddles. Charlie has been spending time outside during the day and then coming inside in the evening and sleeping inside of a night in a crate.
We have been doing some training with her. She can sit and is learning how to drop but she gets a little distracted at times. She will bark to let you know when there is someone near the house also sometimes when playing with the other dogs.
Charlie is currently living with 3 other dogs. Even though she loves the dogs she is living with, she doesn't like dogs that she doesn't know to approach her when she's out on walks. She is nervous when on walks and doesn't like to be approached. So it's best to just let her have her space and don't make her get close to dogs or strangers on walks. Children make her nervous so she is not suited to a home with children. She is not friendly to cats. Charlie would benefit from some training to build her confidence in the big wide world.
Charlie would be best suited to a household with a another doggie friend for company, or someone who is home a lot to spend time and play games with her. She is predominantly an inside dog.
For more information or to meet Charlie, please contact her foster carer Erin on 0413795300 or email erin.murnane@hotmail.com. Charlie is in foster care in Edgeworth, NSW (Lake Macquarie, south of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Charlie's adoption fee is only $400 and includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
