About Angus & Malcolm
Good with small dogs and great with kids. Such gentle dogs, Angus and Malcolm are looking for a family to shower with love, and a cosy couch to warm.
They are very best of friends, having never been apart. As they are older dogs, they are classified as Sanctuary Hounds, which means their veterinary bills will be covered by Greyhound Rescue for the rest of their lives.
Here's what their Canberra crew have to say about them: “Like their namesake brothers Malcolm (black) and Angus Young (fawn and white) from the band AC/DC, these boys are the very best of friends and have never been apart. For this reason we would love to place them in their forever home together. Both boys are cuddly, lovely and gentle – so gentle in fact that Angus passed his cat test with flying colours … but unfortunately Malcolm was a tad too interested to pass – although he may have potential to learn with an experienced owner and a feisty cat. Malcolm is the most outgoing of the brothers and Angus is a little more shy but both love human company and follow their foster Mummy around the house looking for snuggles. They are currently in foster care in with Ada’s little dog Max, girl greyhound Maude and the whole ”band’ seems to be getting along famously.
Both boys are house-trained, walk politely on lead and would suit a wide range of family situations. We’d love to see them homed with children as they would make wonderful family pets. They are also very good at giving kisses, and cuddling them is a bit like hugging your teddy bear as they are unusually quite furry greyhounds! To those about to adopt … we salute you!”
They were surrendered as their owner could no longer keep them. We would dearly love to send them off to a loving home to spend their twilight years together.
If you have it in your heart and home to give a couch to this pair of seniors we would love to hear from you. Email info@greyhoundrescue.com.au
Please note that Greyhound Rescue's network covers NSW and the ACT (Sydney, Canberra, Illawarra, South Coast and many parts of regional NSW).
Adoption details
Once we have found your new greyhound we will send you an application form to complete and return. Then we will arrange a house check. It is important that the right hound goes to the right home! We can arrange for you to meet the dog/s and they can meet your family and/or other pets. Our hounds go “on trial” with your family for a minimum of 2 weeks. We have dogs that are small dog and cat friendly.
We expect greyhounds to be 'indoor dogs' and not left alone for long periods of time. Ideally they would have a doggy or human friend for company most of the time.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
