About Darcy
Hi, my name is Darcy and I am a lovable friendly 7 year old boy who wants to play with everyone and everything. Unfortunately I find myself up for adoption due to changed circumstances in my family but I am such a gorgeous boy that my family are sure someone else is going to fall in love with me straight away and be their best friend like I have been to them.
I am full of beans and adore running, especially in paddocks or off-lead areas where I chase the stones that you throw for me. I will also go after balls but the thrill is all in the chase so don’t expect me to bring them back to you. The beach is one of my favourite places and I simply love my Kong toy.
I give enthusiastic greetings to anyone that comes to the house will lick you in a bid to get attention which I thrive on.
I want to be close to my family all the time, presently sleep in my parents room and occasionally leap onto the bed to see if I will get away with it.
I get on well with other dogs but dislike cats so best you don’t have one as I see them as something to chase.
I am a bit scared of the vacuum cleaner and push bikes and avoid both at all costs.
I am perfectly behaved in the house and pretend to be asleep in the mornings so I don’t have to go outside which hasn’t worked so far.
I currently live with a small child but I am better suited to a family with older children as I don’t realise my own strength.
Above all I love cuddles, pats, belly rubs, ear rubs and enjoy sun baking. If any of this strikes a note with you and you would like me to be your new buddy PLEASE send in an application quickly and come and visit so I can check you out. Love Darcy
Adoption details
If you think you can offer me a forever home please go to
http://www.staffordrescuevictoria.org.au/index.php/adoption-forms-6
and fill out the Adoption Request Form. You will receive an email acknowledgement within 3 days. If you do not receive any further contact after this please do not be discouraged. It just means that a suitable application was received before yours. We encourage you to contact Jan: jan.hutton@optusnet.com.au every 2-3 weeks to show you are still interested in adopting. As we will already have your form on file it will fast track the process when a suitable dog does become available.
Adopt one of our dogs and we are there for you for the rest of the dog's life. If you find you and the dog are not suited it is a condition of sale that the dog comes back to Stafford Rescue.
