About Chester (On Trial 13/9/14)~ Cat and Dog Friendly
Chester is a gorgeous, 4 month old, male Greyhound x Bull Arab puppy. Chester has the quirkiest ears and has the long legs of a super model. Everyone who meets Chester falls in love with his unique boyish looks and charm. He is an easy going pup who is very friendly and confident in most situations. Chester is a stunning boy, mainly white, with tan patches over his eyes, ears and tail. His long greyhound type tail very rarely stops wagging.
Chester is a very smoochy boy who loves nothing more than to cuddle up next to you. He trots around the house after you, interested in everything that you do. Chester is in foster care with 4 other dogs big and small, young and old and he loves all of them. Chester is also cat friendly - he is living with 6 cats and he is gentle and friendly with them all.
Chester loves snuggling with the other dogs and his soft toys at night. He plays chasings with toys that you throw and will happily keep himself entertained chewing on the toy or trotting around with it in his mouth - his favourite toy is a bright pink rabbit (boys can love pink too, right?)
Chester loves walks and will happily trot along at any pace you set. He enjoys sniffing all the scents along the way and saying hi to people and dogs who walk past. He is very well mannered for a puppy so young. He does love to jump up to cuddle you around the waist - being a puppy he is working very hard to keep all four paws on the floor (but it's hard to remember when you have so many cuddles to give!). With Chester's breed mix he is very slender, so he will be a great pup for families with young children as he is less likely to knock them over when they are all running around or playing. Chester is only new to toilet training and is quite proud of himself as he spent a very long time in the pound. His new family will need to be considerate and continue his toilet training to help ensure he doesn't have accidents inside overnight.
Chester would best suit a furever home with another friendly playful dog of any size or someone who is home a lot if there is no other dog to play with. Puppies are very social so being left for long periods without companionship is very stressful for them. Chester is child friendly so he would also suit a family with kids of any age. Chester has a very short coat and is slender so he needs a jacket to keep him warm. Chester will need to be involved in family activities as he loves the company of his humans and he must be allowed inside and sleep inside at night.
If you would like to meet Chester or would like to know anything more please contact his foster carer Jo on 0427 695 104 or Jo.payne.aus@hotmail.com. He is in care at Gosford on the NSW Central Coast.
Chester's adoption fee is only $450 and includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
