About Milo
Hi, my name is Milo and I am 5 years of age. Sadly my mum and dad are moving and can't take me with them. I am a very cuddly boy and love playing fetch and tug with my toy rope and spending time with my family. I really enjoy following mum around when she is working outside. I have heaps of energy but can also chill out by getting into some quality sunbaking.
I am very loyal and shower everyone with kisses, especially after a good belly rub. I haven't had any formal obedience training since puppy classes but am a good boy and will sit, stay, go to your bed and drop on command and the word "No" was probably the first bit of human language I learnt as a puppy (lol)
I am protective of my house and humans and will bark at strangers as they pass and will also stay on alert while me and mum are out walking. So if anyone meant my loved ones harm I would be there for them in a heartbeat.
Loud noises like thunder or fireworks scare me and I will try and hide. I need to be safe inside with you at these times like many dogs.
I have never been around other animals but would sure like to chase the cat next door so its best you don't have any other animals or maybe another docile dog. Stafford Rescue will test me out when I arrive and advise. When inside I have been trained to stay on my mat inside the door. Whilst I don't live with children I have met a few and show plenty of patience when they play with me. When I've had enough I simply walk away.
I would love a new home with a nice active family who will take me on long walks, take me to obedience training to teach me some socialisation skills and include me in their day to day activities.
Adoption details
If you think you can offer me a forever home please go to
http://www.staffordrescuevictoria.org.au/index.php/adoption-forms-6
and fill out the Adoption Request Form. You will receive an email acknowledgement within 3 days. If you do not receive any further contact after this please do not be discouraged. It just means that a suitable application was received before yours. We encourage you to contact Jan: jan.hutton@optusnet.com.au every 2-3 weeks to show you are still interested in adopting. As we will already have your form on file it will fast track the process when a suitable dog does become available.
Adopt one of our dogs and we are there for you for the rest of the dog's life. If you find you and the dog are not suited it is a condition of sale that the dog comes back to Stafford Rescue.
