About Hoochi and Tiger-Lily
Hoochi and Tiger-Lily are a bonded pair that must be adopted together. They are pedigree chihuahuas, with papers. They were previously bred, however they are now desexed.
Hoochi and Tiger-Lily are friendly, sweet little dogs who are used to children. They love to be cuddled and need to be included in family life. They are even used to toddlers and will happily play with and be around small children!
Hoochi and Tiger-Lily were surrended due to their anxiety issues when left alone in the back yard. Their owners did not allow them inside when they were not home, and Tiger took her job as watch-dog very seriously. We have found that they have improved a great deal if not left in the yard for the whole day - they are very happy to settle quietly in a crate inside where they don't have to feel anxious and bark at every passerby. Their foster carer has found that they don't bark unless there is something to bark at IE people, cats etc This is a common trait of chihuahuas, and one that can be managed very affectively.
Hoochi and Tiger are in foster care out past Ipswich, so please be patient as we organise a meet and greet for those who are interested in meeting this delightful pair!

Medical notes
Hoochi and Tiger-Lily both had severe dental disease when they came to us. Their adoption fee is to cover the costs of vet work we have done for them - these costs exceed $800 so we feel that a $500 adoption fee is very fair.
They have had their teeth scaled and polished and rotten ones removed, been vaccinated, microchipped and have both had blood tests. They tested negative to heartworm and are desexed.
Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, please email chihuahuarescueqld@gmail.com for an Adoption Application. From there, we will be in contact with you within 48 hours to talk further about your application and if successful, to arrange a meet and greet.
Prior to adoption, all dogs will need to have a meet and greet with their family, and a house check will be done. All adoptions are subject to a two week trial to ensure your new friend fits in well with your household.
We have many dogs that are in foster care and are not yet ready to be listed for a variety of reasons. If you have a good idea of what you are looking for in your new dog please email us at chihuahuarescueqld@gmail.com and let us help you match a dog to your needs.
