My littermates and I have been raised here at the shelter and in foster homes. We are all now ready to go to our fur-ever homes.Our new families need to have had EXPERIENCE WITH ARCTIC BREEDS as we can be quite strong willed. Proper socialisation with people and other dogs is very important for our wellbeing. Malamutes love outdoor activities and even do well in obedience training with firm encouragement. Obedience training is highly recommended for our breed.Alaskan Malamute's are extremely loyal and intelligent sweet and most affectionate toward their master. We are great with children who are old enough to play with us safely but we would need to meet the whole family before adoption.We would need to meet other dogs before adoption to ensure we get along.All fences and gates need to be secure 5ft high with no holes or gaps. A suitable kennel or area for me to sleep out of the weather needs to be available at all times as well.
