About Dad and Dave
Dad and Dave were surrendered as a messy, shaggy dog story ..... dirty, terrified, neglected and frightened and they both shook and cringed when someone new came by. Gradually with lots of TLC they have relaxed into a happy place and now enjoy the finer things of life like company, good food and a warm place to sleep. Dave (the handsome boy toward the front of the photo) is a happy, fairly confident dog who likes going for walks and chewing bones and he is quite sociable and friendly. Dad (his father) is only about a year older but is less confident. He has relaxed in foster care but can be more fearful of new people and situations and prefers to relax in the yard while Dave goes for a walk. Dad and Dave will follow you round the house, sleep together, romp and play together and constantly keep each other company. They have also already learned to obey simple commands. Dad and Dave are probably Maltese X Italian Greyhounds because they lope along like greyhounds! They are a lovely pair and will only be rehomed together as Dad seems to need Dave to give him confidence. As they learn to enjoy the good life, Dad and Dave are sure to become pleasant companions in a home where they have the freedom just to be themselves. Dad and Dave are house trained, enjoy their food and quietly sleep together in a pile on their bed in the lounge room. They both have coats that will require regular grooming to keep them looking and feeling great.
