About Puppy Miranda (On Trial 30/8/14)
Miranda is a female, 8 week old, border collie x kelpie puppy looking for her forever home. She is a happy, affectionate and curious puppy who enjoys playing with toys and exploring the garden. She is very well socialised with other dogs as she is living happily with many dogs of all ages and sizes. She hasn't met a cat yet but should be fine as she is young enough to get used to them. Miranda has big brown puppy eyes that will melt your heart. She has black and tan kelpie colouring plus a white blaze on her chest to reflect her border collie genes too.
Miranda is used to being allowed inside when people are home so she can enjoy feeling part of the family. She should sleep inside, at least until she is fully grown. She likes to nap outside in a kennel during the day.
Miranda will be a medium sized dog so her new home will need 6ft colourbond fencing or good paling fences of similar height (not rural fencing such as mesh or wire). Padlocks are necessary to prevent dog theft. It'd be great if there was someone that doesn't work full time, such as a stay at home mum, or someone who works from home or is retired.
Miranda would love to have another similarly sized dog for company and to teach him new things. She's not be suitable for children under 5 years of age as she might accidently knock them over.
We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. Miranda is available for adoption to the following areas: Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens. She is not available for Interstate adoption.
Miranda's brother Elliott is also available for adoption http://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/314894.
For more info or to meet Miranda (or Elliott) please ring her foster carer, Robyn, on 02 4953 7115 (preferred) or mobile 0407 074 143. Miranda is in Glendale, NSW (Lake Macquarie, south of Newcastle). Robyn doesn't have internet access so phone is the only way to reach her. Thank you.
Miranda's adoption fee is only $450 and includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, and microchipping.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
