About Tiny Tot (On Trial 19/10/14) ~ Tibetan Spaniel
Tiny is a gorgeous girl and a pleasure to have around. She is a Tibetan Spaniel x, approximately 10 years young. She is quiet and undemanding. She is toilet trained and sometimes she is so quiet you forget she is there. She likes to go for a short stroll on lead just a few times a week. She walks nicely on a harness but she is afraid of big dogs.
Tiny gets along fine with small dogs and loves human companionship. She likes to have a few naps during the day but will also have a little play with another little dog from time to time. She has never been around cats so I am unsure how she would react. She tends to be a little scared of children and will hide from them. She much prefers a quiet lifestyle.
Tiny was rescued from a dog hoarder where she had spent her entire life outside with approximately 20 other dogs who were all very neglected. Many had medical issues and they were all underfed and under nourished. Read the story "Hoard of Hounds" on the Dog Rescue Newcastle website http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/hoard.html. Tiny is still a little timid from her past experience which is completely understandable. Nevertheless, she still craves human affection and love.
Tiny suffers from a collapsed trachea which gives her a dry cough. Some days are better than others. This is managed with medication and she is otherwise in wonderful health. She has a beautiful soft coat and loves getting cuddles and having a massage. Tiny has the most beautiful strawberry blonde coat which lovely and soft and an absolute pleasure to stroke and brush.
The perfect home for Tiny would be with an individual or persons who is retired and is home a lot and is looking for a little companion. Someone who could offer Tiny a wonderful home where she could feel comfortable, relaxed, valued and loved. Tiny is ready for the beginning of her new life!
For more information or to meet Tiny, please contact Sue by phone 0415 367 144 or email docman4@bigpond.com. Tiny is in foster care in Warners Bay, NSW (Lake Macquarie, south of Newcastle).

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
