About Hetty
Hetty's story is heartbreaking, and the fact that she has remained so sweet and friendly is a testament to her wonderful little spirit. She was found wandering the streets, which is frightening as she is completely blind. She was rushed to the RSPCA, who discovered she was also very sick with a pyometra infection of the uterus - an easily preventable and very painful infection due to not being desexed. The RSPCA treated her infection, desexed her and cleaned her rotten teeth, and then sent her to us to be put into foster care and given some love.
When she came to us, she was quiet, withdrawn and her coat was dull. Now she has a new lease on life, she wags her tail and plays like a puppy, and her coat is the most beautiful soft coat, making her even better to cuddle!
Hetty is a sweet old girl who is completely blind. Even though Hetty can't see she happily toddles along behind you with her tail wagging all the time. She is gentle and affectionate and loves a cuddle. Hetty is very social with other dogs and has an all-round sweet nature. She enjoys being around people and is excellent with gentle children. Hetty is looking for a family that will spoil her for the rest of her senior years as she deserves.

Medical notes
Hetty has hip displasia and luxated patellas (grade 4) severe and permanently dislocated. Hetty is now too old for surgery so is on daily pain meds. Hetty will come with her a years supply of medication.
She is compeltely blind but copes very well. She has been desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and has had a dental scale and polish and rotten teeth extracted. Now that she is on daily pain relief, she is living a happy and playful life!
