About Cheech (On Trial 23/9/14)
Cheech is a 9 month old, male, Chihuahua x Terrier puppy. Cheech is an absolutely delightful dog with a very easy going temperament. He takes most things in his stride. He is toilet trained, doesn't pull on the lead, is not afraid of vacuum cleaners, mowers or similar. He knows a few basic commands such as "sit" and "stay" and is getting the idea of fetch. Being a young dog, he would benefit from more training such as going to classes. He would prefer to have another dog as a playmate or someone who is home a lot so that he doesn't get lonely and bored on his own.
He is a very sweet dog who loves playing with other dogs and his toys. He is very energetic and would love to go to a family with older children or no children - anyone who lives an active lifestyle and who would enjoy taking him on a brisk daily walk.
Cheech is an indoor dog, but loves spending time outside wrestling with his mates too. He likes to be inside with his family, especially in the evenings and needs to sleep inside.
Cheech loves to snuggle up for a bit of cuddle time when he is not out for a walk or playing with one of the other dogs or his toys. He loves constant companionship, either human or another dog or both, so consequently he is not suited to be in situations where he would spend long periods of time on his own. He is one very special boy.
For more information or to meet Cheech, please contact his foster carer Karen on 0411-263-304 or email plumb2a@bigpond.com. Cheech is in foster care in Wyoming, NSW (on the Central Coast) and is available for adoption interstate.
Cheech's adoption fee is only $400 and includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
