About Katie
(8/10/08: kaiie has gone on a 2-week trial to her new home. Good luck, katie) the pretty young cat sits in a cage, purring loudly for attention, slowly regaining her strength with her terrible injury obvious. What really happened to her we will never know but can only guess. . . . Brought into emergency at a local vets her injuries were at first thought to be caused from being run over by a car. But after an x-ray the vet decided that it was more likely that the injury had been caused from a heavy kick or a hit. The ball of her hip joint had been snapped cleanly off from the socket. After many days she remained unclaimed. The cost of her surgery. . . Prohibitive & with no owner to care about her fate-it seemed her short life was over. But luck was on her side for the good samaritan who found her could not bear see her die and , to everyone's relief, the operation was not only done but has been a great success. It seems that this brave girl will make a full recovery given a little time and tender loving care. Sadly she remains homeless. It is extremely hard to find a home for an adult cat, especially a cat ( no matter how gorgeous ) with an obvious injury. Weeks pass and a cage is now her home. Her future? every avenue has been searched to find her a loving home but to no avail. To contact katie's guardian angels: kay and david please call norma at dabs on 02 9798 6767
