About Frankie
Frankie and Cletus were saved by a wonderful volunteer after they were dumped at the Tamworth Pound. Our friends at Greencross Vets Tamworth boarded the dogs free of charge, and then one of the lovely vets drove them all the way to Brisbane! They are now safe and sound in a foster home here in Brisbane.
Frankie is the younger of the pair, Cletus is his father.
Due to the tough ordeal he has been through, he can be very shy at first, he is going to need a home that can give him confidence in himself and his environment. For this reason Frankie would do best in a calm home where he has time to open up and come you on his terms.
Frankie appears to not have a mean bone in his body and is fine around children, however should not be around children that want to carry him or follow/chase him around as this worries him.
This boy has so much love to give and will bond strongly to his lucky new family.
Frankie has been living with other dogs and gets along great in the dog pack.
We originally planned to keep Cletus and Frankie together, however since being in care we have been surprised to discover they don't seem to be very bonded. Whilst they sleep together in a crate, they sleep in opposite ends and need to be fed separately or else they get grumpy at each other. The boys seem to get along great with other dogs, so we are now happy for them to be adopted separately.
We would love for Frankie to go to a home where he will be spoilt rotten and treated kindly and like he deserves to be, he has definitely not had an easy life so far.

Medical notes
When he came into care, Frankie had infected teeth and had had very little veterinary care. Since being with us he has had blood tests and a dental scale and polish, including having his rotten teeth extracted. He has been desexed and vaccinated and microchipped.
We have tested Frankie for heartworm and he tested negative so we have started him on heartworm prevention. He has been treated with parasite prevention.
